The publishing industry enjoyed great growth and revenues for decades but is now feeling the pain of the digital age. More and more people are getting their news and entertainment information online instead of via the printed format. So what do you do as a company?  How do you survive so you don’t end like AOL or Blockbuster?

For this assignment, you will research and analyze the following companies and their industries and perform a SWOT analysis and PEST analysis. Then evaluate your finding to propose some recommendation and strategies these companies could use to be successful long term.

A SWOT analysis of the business environment can be performed by organizing the environmental factors as follows:

• The company's internal attributes can be classed as  strengths and  weaknesses.
• The company’s external environment presents  opportunities and  threats.

PEST analysis:

• Political and legal environment
• Economic environment
• Social and cultural environment
• Technological environment

After completing your analysis, evaluate your findings and provide 3 detailed recommendations/strategies for each company.

Research the companies and create your analysis. Remember case studies require in-depth analysis and detailed explanation of your conclusions. Show off what you learned and apply our concepts from the week.  Submit as a word doc in 3-4 pages.
