The concept of group projects has always scared me, the relying on a partner to respond on time and get the work done is something that takes more trust than I can even begin to explain. I have worked with many people since I started school, I have had good experiences and bad experiences but none quite like this. The partner I got for lesson two in psychologywas Brooke Blizzard and she helped change the was I viewed group projects. Brooke Blizzard took her time responding to every single message I sent, but when she did finally respond, she made sure it was exactly what I needed and in as much detail as she could provide over text message. I learned about Brooke’s wants and how she really views the world from her eyes. There were things about me that I am sure she add to her essay that I would have found uncomfortable saying in person and I am sure the same goes for Brooke as well. I was able to come to the conclusion that Brooke got a lot of her traits through her life experiences. She is independent, that is not to say she doesn’t need peoples help but it could be from the fact that she has moved thirteen times so far in her lifetime. Moving that much could have made it so that she doesn’t get over attached to places,people, or things. Brooke told me at one point that people always see her as being mean, cold, and heartless, but as her partner I viewed her as relatively open but most likely guarded in person. She was genuinely friendly and never gave away any vibes of being negative and mean. Along with this though I also got to see Brooke’s maturity, this came mostly from how she responded to questions and the fact that she has been able to keep a job and her school work balanced. She came across as being a mature and hardworking teenager because of all of these things It was almost as if she didn’t t comprehend when to stop and be a kid, she was constantly working to improve herself and get the job done. The final and most surprising part about Brooke Blizzard is that she has a deep maternal instinct. While some say she is cold, heartless and mean, she cares like a mother would for her friends and her family. In addition to her maternal instincts Brooke nurtures and protects her friends because she cares so deeply for them and their well being. This type of instinct is what I believe to have been the one that made it so easy to talk to her and get to know about the type of characteristics she got from all of her
