Whether it is in human services practice, program development, program evaluation, advocacy, and/or policy development, your research should strive to positively benefit individuals and/or communities. Even one person, by raising awareness for a human services issue, has the opportunity to create positive social change. This change might include developing a new program to reduce homeless in your community or advocating for additional government assistance for single mothers.

Very Important: To prepare for this Discussion, consider how your research findings on your Final Project topic on "The role of training in improving the quality of services by social workers" might benefit individuals and communities and create positive social change.
