Reflect on a deliberative, celebrative, ceremonial, or other special occasion presentation that you have either presented or observed. Identify the speaker of the special occasion presentation. What was the purpose and topic for this special occasion speech? In what ways did this special occasion presentation differ from the guidelines used for informative and persuasive presentations? In what ways was this presentation similar to the guidelines used for informative and persuasive presentations? What techniques can you borrow from observing this particular special occasion speech and use in your future speaking opportunities?
